Linkart, the way to link through art

The motto « make life as artwork » now strongly influences the worldview of Corinne Spielewoy and she includes in its realization relationships with others and the exploration of their nature or quality. The primary focus determines her positioning and vision of what she desires to express in Linkart.

Since 2004 she began to develop her artistic expression as a painter. Very soon, she knew that painting alone was not really capable of expressing her deepest values or fullfilling her artistic goals. She therefore began to develop a more conceptually based work that takes into account her core values. It is what she calls today Linkart.

Linkart promotes and demonstrates her worldview that it is vital for humans to be aware of their connection to each other. Most people in the West are fortunate to be detached from social and family pressures that allow them to pursue what really interests them deeply. However, with this trend, people tend to neglect their need for others in order to live in a very concrete way.

This results in behaviour where more and more people are only concerned with their own ambitions and comfort, regardless of the destructive effects on the lives of others (i.e. indiscriminate use of pesticides, deforestation of the earth and many more negative effects all based on the singular ambition of amassing personal wealth).

Corinne Spielewoy sees the artist's role as an avenue to help people be aware, in a pleasant or disturbing way, of how we create a world for ourselves and for the people we love, and for the future. So she considers her work as Art for Social Change.

Therefore, she decided to dedicate her artistic work to the concerns of relationships and communication. The form she has chosen is directly related to this theme. And because her work speaks about relationships and connectivity, she initiates collaborative projects with other artists.
